Upcycle It always thrives to make a change in society by promoting upcycling as the solution to the waste produced by individuals. This Exhibition gave us an oppurtunity to showcase our upcycling products to the audience.
UpCycle IT at the Flea Market
A very Unique Flea Market was organized by the GERMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL at Palavakkam today(14-9-2014). A flea market is a bazaar given to public to sell their good at a commonplace and this was organized at an International school for their students and parents, to see the talents around the city. Upcycle It was among the vendor at the market and showcased it upcycle products made from different types of waste.
As it was organized for small group of audience it contained almost 7 stalls which consisted of variety of products such as general craft items, clothes, paintings and old games and among the participants were also students from the organizers. It was a fun gala which happened for almost 4 long hours. As the event was organized by an international school most set of visitors were foreigners who were enthusiastically spend quality time in each stall and enquired about the products.
We showcased some of our products ranging from Jewelry to containers to Greeting cards to Upcycled Lamp shades and much more. Besides participating at the market, it was a time to meet fellow crafts person and know about what is happening at the city. It was a great experience for us in knowing about people taste and their interest in upcycled products and these kind of meetings will increase awareness among the people not to see waste as just waste but it can be redesigned and remolded to make stunning products.
Finally we like to thank the organizers of the event – German International school for giving Upcycle IT this wonderful opportunity. Looking forward for more such unique theme based flea markets.
